NAJ PROMO FUND

New Amsterdam Jazz invites musicians to apply for support with artists and/or album promotion. Did you record an album or are you planning to? Do you still need help with the promotion around it? NAJ will offer 10 lucky musicians/bands a promo package with support that is tailored to their needs.

All artists are invited to apply. It can be your debut album or your 5th release; it can be extra PR support for an album you want to release independently, or this can be your opportunity to be selected by a label. 

NAJ is closely collaborating with leading labels & PR professionals in the Netherlands for this fund, including Dox Records and ZenneZ Records. Each application will be individually reviewed by both NAJ as well as the labels we are working with. Therefore we ask you to be clear about where you stand in terms of distribution and collaborations with labels. 

  • Your project is eligible if the following criteria are met:

    - Release of the project takes place after August 2022;

    - Band members are active as professional musicians;

    - Band is based in The Netherlands;

    - Only applications sent in between March 1st and April 1st will be taken into consideration;

    - Only applications forms that have been submitted through the provided form will be taken into consideration.

  • - How does the project help bring you to the next stage of your career or catalyze more opportunities for you as a musician?

    - How does it amplify the past or present jazz scene that is based in the Netherlands?

    - Our non-profit believes in the values of intergenerational pollination (working with musicians of all ages) and cares about diversity & inclusion in each of the projects we support or help develop.

  • Types of support could include but are not limited to:

    - Press photos;

    - Support with writing good & effective promotional texts (such as bio or press release) and creating an EPK;

    - PR campaign executed by a music industry professional

  • Organizational Support
    For some projects, NAJ offers organizational support. If you need organizational help in the realization of your project, please tell us about it in your application (in the “anything else you’d like us to know” box). Examples can be: thinking about the strategy around a tour or album release, specific productional support, or proofreading applications for other foundations or funds.


    Financial Support
    NAJ foresees a maximum of €1750 per project.*

    *in rare cases, exceptions are made.
